Hi, I'm Tate. A copywriter who's currently working deep undercover in account service at Clemenger BBDO. I'm learning their language, earning their trust, all so someone can finally figure out what clients (think they) actually want.

So far I've picked up a few things, like how to present an idea without anyone realising they're being sold to, how to stay calm when the feedback doc is longer than the script, and how to build the kind of relationships that make people want to say yes.

After winning Award School 2025, I dream of being able to graduate from black and white scamps and finally get to make some work in technicolour.

I've developed a weird taste for strange experiences, like trying Durian ice cream (it was disgusting), watching the lowest rated film on IMDb (deserved every star it got), and basing drink orders solely on the name and logo. Not because these are necessarily good decisions, but because they widen the pool of things I can draw from for ideas. My Notes app has the kilometres of random musings to show for it.

If you want to chat, I'm easy to find. My cover's pretty much blown at this point anyway.
